The Leger neighbourhood was named after a long serving Edmonton politician, Edmund Hugh Leger, who was first elected to City Council in 1959 and went on to serve as an alderman for 25 years. All homes are oriented along curvilinear streets, with higher density residential developments located along arterial and collector roads in close proximity to transit routes, commercial amenities, and recreational facilities.
