The MacTaggart neighbourhood takes its name from Sandy Auld Mactaggart, a local entrepreneur and philanthropist with provincial, national and international achievements in business, the arts, and education. The MacTaggart Neighbourhood Area Structure Plan (NASP) was approved by City Council in 2005 and construction of the new neighbourhood began very shortly thereafter.
Explore how Mactaggart fits on the map: the gold fill is the boundary in effect for the selected time period, dashed outlines show every earlier superseded shape from prior eras, red pins are linked structures built in that era, and purple pins are sites. Use the time period buttons below the map to explore the neighbourhood over time. Boundary history is documented in Stories.
