In the early part of the 20th century, Calder was part of the Hudson's Bay Company Reserve and settled primarily by employees of the Grand Trunk Pacific Railway. Ninety percent of the buildings in this former railroad colony are one- or two-unit homes. While most homes were built in the 1940s and 50s, some date back to before 1910. Civic ward: Anirniq.
