This area was named for Joseph Hormisdas Gariepy, an early pioneer merchant. Gariepy's keyhole crescents and winding roads were designed in the 1970s and 80s to create a quiet, safe neighbourhood.
Commercial services are available in nearby Lessard, and a short drive away at West Edmonton Mall.
