This area was owned by the McCauley family in the 1880s, and the name is likely a reference to its spectacular views of the river valley. Built largely in the 1960s, the area is characterised by a variety of "executive" style homes on wide, curving streets, surrounded by attractive landscaping on spacious lots.
While 30 percent of households have children, the majority of the residents are older 50 and have lived in the area for many years. Civic ward: papastew. District: Scona. City boundary records effective 1981-10-01.
