Ozerna is a Ukrainian word that means "lake area". Construction began in the 1980s and continued on well into the 2000s.
Features include a central school and park site within walking distance, for all residents. As of 2009 a school had not yet been developed but the park site with developed sports field and a playground interconnect the community. A storm water management lake and linear park, that runs on top of the powerline right-of-way and provides more open space (80%) and connections. Civic ward: tastawiyiniwak. District: Northeast.
